This section will contain clarifications and commendations regarding Shaykh Sharīf al-Turbānī, who previously fell into a mistake and was consequently abandoned by the people of daʿwah. There even exists a statement from Shaykh Nizār advising: “Leave him (Shaykh Sharīf) until he reforms himself.”
Since then, however, Shaykh Sharīf al-Turbānī has repented from that mistake and remained firm upon the truth throughout this ongoing fitnah, issuing clarifications and making his position clear.
Those who oppose the truth in this fitnah, however, do not accept his repentance or acknowledge his return to the truth. At the same time, among them are individuals who themselves fell into a similar mistake, yet their statements are accepted, apparently because they are now in agreement (muwāfaqah) with them concerning the present dispute.
This section will therefore present the relevant statements, clarifications, and commendations concerning Shaykh Sharīf al-Turbānī.
Shaykh Nizar said:
“Shaykh Sharīf al-Turbānī, may Allah preserve him, then how excellent and honorable he is. He was a courageous man. He is a human being, and “we are all not infallible.” He acknowledged what occurred from him, repented, and explained what led him to it.”
