Fighting resumes in Abyan as separatists pull out of talks

Note: This is the rebellion for which Dr. Abdullah Al-Bukhari issued a fatwa to the Shaykhs of Aden

Shaykh Ali Al-Hudhaifi, may Allah preserve him, said in an article titled [The First Episode of Refuting Kantoush’s Doubts]

“When I informed Shaykh ʿAbdullāh al-Bukhārī of your visit to senior figures of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) at a time when the STC had turned against the government, Shaykh al-Bukhārī said to me, “What’s wrong with that?” Meaning, what is wrong with them visiting? His response indicates that he was aware of it.

Furthermore, Shaykh ʿAbdullāh al-Bukhārī permitted you to fight the Yemeni government during the time of the former Yemeni president (Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi). He was one of those whose fatwā you relied upon, and you know this very well.

During the Qubāʾ gathering, Shaykh al-Bukhārī said, “As for the fighting, I am the one who issued the fatwā permitting them to fight these people.”

Present at the gathering were Shaykh Muṣṭafā Mabram, the leading Shaykh ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-Laḥjī, the esteemed brother Amīn Hazm, the esteemed brother Ṣāliḥ al-ʿĀqil, Zakariyyā ibn Shuʿayb, and Aḥmad al-Muḥammadī, the brother of ʿArafāt al-Muḥammadī.”
