Exalting the Companions Above Partisan Agendas: A Refutation of Corrupt Analogies Between Their Disputes and Contemporary Political Rebellion
Shaykh Fawaz bin 'Ali al-Madkhali
This section will address the article titled “Exposing the Doubts Used to Create Confusion Regarding the Shaykhs of Aden, written by Ṣalāḥ Kantoush (opens in a new tab)”. This article of his was written in an attempt to create obfuscation and confusion surrounding the rebellion carried out by Kantoush and the other Shaykhs of Aden, under the patronage and direction of ʿArafāt al-Muḥammadī. Rather than addressing the fundamental issues surrounding their conduct and their support for the Southern Transitional Council (STC), Kantoush sought to divert attention from these matters by presenting a series of arguments intended to obscure the reality of their position and defend it from criticism.
Accordingly, this section will examine Kantoush’s arguments, expose the inconsistencies and evasions contained within them, and clarify the reality of the position that he and the Shaykhs of Aden adopted in relation to the rebellion and the Transitional Council.
